Sudden Onset of a Speech Problem

by Carlotta Fuerstenberg
(Perris, CA 92570)

Two days after I got a Nerve Test for my right leg, I got a sudden speech problem, which still exists today after more than two years and it is getting worse.

I am a 91 year woman.According to my speech therapist I have Dysarthria, I speak in stacato sentences and then I loose my breath after talking for ten minutes. I have been to two Neurologists and had an M.R.I. of the brain and neck. Everything was normal.

I had no stroke, no tumor and no bleeding in the brain.

Can anyone explain to me what this sudden onset is? My speech is hard to understand, especially over the phone, and also person-to-person. Please help me to understand. My brain functions wonderfully.
