Trying to become a speech therapist

by Amber
(Bowie, MD, US)

Hi, I'm at a college that doesn't have speech pathology, audiology, or communication science disorders as a major.

My question is, should I major in biology or psychology b.s. to use as a walkway to get into a college that does have my preferred major?

Hello, sorry for the late response.

Depends. If you are thinking to go into the medical field as a Speech Pathologist I would major in biology since medical Speech Pathology is more focused on that type of information.

If you plan to go into the school system I would major in psychology since you'll be dealing with discipline and working with kids from all walks of life.

My two cents. I hope it helps.
