How can you tell if you need speech therapy?

Hello! I am a 14 year old and I think I need speech therapy. I was on the verge of needing speech therapy for a lisp in fifth grade but they decided not to put me in it.

I've noticed that since I got braces 2 years ago, I've developed that problem again. It sounds weird, but it feels like my tongue is too big for my mouth when I'm speaking. My speech is unclear and fast too.

I pronounce sounds differently than others. I should be getting my braces off in 3-4 months, but I'm really self-conscious about my speech.

Should I wait to bring it up with my parents to see if it goes away when I get my braces off... or should I tell them now to see if we can fix it in the mean time?
