Child of 9 year not properly speaking

At the beginning my child was speaking properly. But now, when he starts speaking and during speech his tongue stops suddenly. It will then start again, but his breathing becomes heavy like it's too hard for him....... He will begin to look very tired....What suggestions does anyone have for early correction?
