age 9 appropriate spelling and punctuation errors in a paragraph.

Hello,
My child is 9 years old and in the 4th grade. Her reading comprehension is that of 10,7. She gets 100's on most of her spelling tests weekly. When she is writing a paragraph or generating a creative story, she has frequent spelling and punctuation errors. Is this normal for her age? Is there research to support that this is age appropriate? I am assuming that it relates to the complexity of the task and she is not focusing on the spelling. Her teacher feels this is indicative of an attention deficit. I am not seeing evidence of this with her homework or home activities. She initiates tasks and homework independently and completes without assistance or redirection.
Thank you in advance for your help.
