11yr bright boy but most of time can’t understand him

I have a Very bright 11 yr old boy. He’s an Honor student, and Dean’s List. At home when he speaks , he speaks fast and unclear unclear as though he’s not pronouncing his words clearly, and speaking in a rush. Sometimes he even stutters. Teachers say they don’t notice but I feel like when he’s relaxed without pressure of school is when he’s loose in speaking and fine myself having to ask him “what did you say” or “I can’t understamd whatbyou are saying”. I feel like it has gotten worse. I took him to speech pathologist and they did not notice anything wrong. But I truly feel as if he knew he had to be in best behavior so he controls himself. Not sure if I’m making sense but I don’t know what I should do to help him
