The Structured Photographic Expressive Language Test-third edition (SPELT-3) is a standardized measure of a child’s production of sentences elicited from full color photographs.  Visual and auditory stimuli are used to establish the context for a child to use in producing a sentences with specific target language structures.   The child’s responses are then analyzed for correct production of the target structures.  A standard score is provided with 100 being mean and 85-115 being the range of average based on chronological age.  XXX’s standard score of ?? is considered (ABOVE/WITHIN/BELOW) the average range. Analysis of XXX’s responses indicated difficulty using (DESCRIBE).
