The Language Processing Test –Third Edition: Elementary (LPT-3:E) is designed to assess a student’s ability to attach increasingly more meaning to information received to then formulate an expressive response.  The two pretests and the following five subtests are constructed to yield information about specific areas of language processing in a hierarchical order.  The mean standard score is 100 and the standard deviation is 15, therefore performances between 85 and 115 are within the average range.
