The Gilliam Autism Rating Scale-Third Edition (GARS-3) is a highly standardized test designed to identify individuals with autism spectrum disorder and estimating its severity. Items are aligned with the specific diagnostic criteria used to describe and or identify autism spectrum disorder published in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders-fifth Edition (DSM-5). The GARS-3 yields information in 6 subscales to determine a probability of autism.
