Narnia School offers in-person educational enrichment classes that provide homeschool students with meaningful opportunities to develop practical life skills through engaging, hands-on learning experiences. Our classes are designed to complement a family's homeschool education by combining academic concepts with real-world application in a supportive, small-group environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, confidence, and character.

Each class is thoughtfully planned to help students build independence while developing transferable skills that can be used throughout their lives. Learning experiences are project-based and emphasize active participation rather than passive instruction, allowing students to learn by doing.
Students are introduced to age-appropriate tools, materials, techniques, and safety procedures while completing meaningful projects from start to finish. Cooking classes may focus on kitchen safety, nutrition, meal planning, measuring, following recipes, food preparation, and cleanup. Sewing classes may include fabric selection, pattern reading, hand sewing, machine sewing, garment construction, textile arts, and creative design. Construction and woodworking classes introduce foundational building concepts, tool identification, measurement, planning, problem-solving, safe tool use, and basic project construction.
Throughout each program, students strengthen executive functioning skills such as planning, organization, sequencing, time management, attention to detail, perseverance, and task completion. Classes also encourage collaboration, communication, critical thinking, creativity, and responsible decision-making while fostering confidence through the successful completion of authentic projects.
Programs are offered in small-group, in-person settings to provide individualized guidance and encourage meaningful interaction among students. Activities are adapted as appropriate for the age, developmental level, and experience of participants. Materials and tools vary by class and may include cooking utensils, kitchen equipment, fabrics, sewing machines, woodworking tools, measuring devices, building materials, safety equipment, and other project-specific supplies.
These educational enrichment classes are intended for homeschool students of various ages, with individual classes and workshops specifying recommended age ranges based on the skills being taught. Parent participation or supervision may be required for certain classes or camps depending on the age of the student, the nature of the activities, or safety considerations.
Narnia School's hands-on learning experiences support homeschooling by providing opportunities for students to apply academic knowledge in practical ways while discovering their interests, developing lifelong skills, and growing in confidence, responsibility, creativity, and character. Our goal is to inspire joyful learning and help students cultivate the God-given talents that will serve them throughout their education and beyond.
