Teaching F Sound in Isolation

Hi,

I was wondering if anyone had additional tips to teach /f/ in isolation. The child in question is 3 years 7 months.

I have tried:

Modeling (putting upper teeth on lower lip and blowing)

We tried a mirror (no avail)

Shaping (From p)

Puckering lips and blowing -- then gradually changing to a smile.

I have used a visual cue & auditory cue. (Rabbit picture and stating biting blowing sound)

This little boy is having difficulty understanding the concept of putting his teeth on his lower lip

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Try putting peanut butter (if he is not allergic to peanuts) or something sticky that he likes on his lower lip and tell him to get it off/catch it with his upper teeth while blowing at the same time.

May couple this task with the mirror so he can see it.
