MY 7 HAS A VERY HORSEY VOICE COULD THIS BE CONTRIBUTING TO HIS SPEECH & LANGUAGE DELAY

by ANNEMARIE
(ENGLAND UK)

I have a 7 year old son, one of a twin. My son struggles in class with sounding out his words.

He struggles getting full sentences out and expressing himself which can easy lead to frustration. My son still has to sound out every letter in order to say the full word together.

People have always commented that my son has such a low/horsey voice for his age. Do I need to investigate this further to see if there is a link as to why he has so many difficulties with his speech and language in school?
