Q:
Why Can't I Get the Screeners to Work?
A: The
screeners work best with the latest version(s) of Internet Explorer
and/or Mozilla Firefox. If you don't have recent versions of these
browsers...that
could
be why the screeners won't work.
- Check your browser(s) to see if you have the latest version
of Internet Explorer and/or Mozilla Firefox.
If you don't click here to download the latest version of
Internet Explorer
or click here to download the latest version of
Mozilla Firefox
- Another possible explanation why they might not be working
is if you are trying to access them from a work or school computer.
I have worked in a large school district and they had a really high
internet filter that wouldn't let some (a lot of) information through
sometimes.
I apologize if this is the case because, it doesn't help much if you're
trying to use them for students at school or in a private practice.
If this is the problem my suggestions are...
- Speak with the IT people who are in charge of the firewall and see if they can add our site to a
safe sites list or whatever they may call it.
- If someone you know has one of those portable Wi-fi hotspots (like the ones you can get through Verizon or T-Mobile),
use the Wi-fi from that and a personal laptop or iPad.
- Try accessing it on a home computer using your personal internet (not a
school or work computer).
- Download the latest version of Adobe Flash Player.
This is the question I get asked most. The above 3 responses have
cleared up people's problems 100% of the time because after giving them
the suggestions I never heard back that they were having problems.
So I have assumed that no news is good news.
