Can I Be A SLP?

Hello,
I've been recently very intrigued about the SLP profession. I am currently a nurse in a skilled nursing facility and feel very overwhelmed with the nursing profession and feel like I need a change.

I've been looking into a career change and came across Speech Language Pathology. The only issue I have is that I have a problem trying to get my point across at times, I ramble a lot when trying to explain something and words don't come out like they should; I don't enunciate some words correctly and feel like I get tongue tied at times as well.

Can a person like me that doesn't have the best speaking skills become an SLP? This I feel is the only thing that stops me from pursing this profession. Thanks in advance :)
